Purified water for sterilization of surgical instruments

A new central sterile supply department (CSSD) has been built at the regional hospital in Viborg, Denmark. SILHORKO-EUROWATER has supplied the complete water treatment plant for the supply of demineralized water to the washer disinfectors and steam autoclaves.

The solution consists of two independent double-pass reverse osmosis (DPRO) units to secure the production of demineralized water in case of breakdown or preventive maintenance. The water quality is purified water according to the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.).

Besides the DRRO units, the scope of supply includes delivery of components for the loop, including custom-made buffer tank in stainless steel, central plc control cabinet, start-up, validation, and operating training.
