PLC control system for waterworks

Tårs Waterworks decided to replace the old water treatment plant with a new one from EUROWATER. To match the development of Tårs city, the water treatment plant was dimensioned so that the current capacity could be expanded by 50 %. Tårs Waterworks supplies 1250 consumers, including a large food production company.

Before filtration, a degasser removes the methane content in the water. By filtration in a primary and secondary filter the contents of iron, manganese and ammonium are reduced. The waterworks is 100 % fully automatic and all operations are done from a PLC based operation panel that is connected to the Internet, which allows remote monitoring of the waterworks.
