UV disinfection for treatment of drinking water

SILHORKO-EUROWATER has delivered UV disinfection plants for Bagsværd waterworks in Denmark, which supplies the citizens of Gladsaxe with 1.2 million cubic metres of water every year.  

The UV treatment serves as an extra precaution to prevent microbiological contamination of the water. The risk of contamination is small, but the consequents would be major due to the large number of consumers.  

The UV dosage is monitored and adjusted to the current flow and the transmissivity of the water.
